Munnch materials are derived from PHA, a biomaterial with excellent compostability properties. 


It has been awarded the TUV Austria OK Compostability standards for home, industrial, soil and marine composting.


This means that our products will break down to their environmentally friendly components in just 6 to 8 weeks when submerged in soil, water or even landfill.

Our novel formulation enables the first commercial foaming of PHA biopolymers. This reduces the overall weight and cost of the end products, whilst still providing the rugged performance and strong water resistance expected of PHA.


With compressive strength on par with ABS and polycarbonate products, Munnch materials provide a robust solution to a range of design challenges.

Seamless Integration

Munnch products can be foamed and moulded using a variety of standard industry techniques, such as foamed extrusion, injection moulding and casting.


We are currently working with Yorkshire-based moulding specialists Osprey Plastics on the inclusion of Munnch materials into their manufacture streams, which will allow us to create standard operating parameters for new adopters.
